Town Events
During the season, Arimatsu holds shrine rites, festivals and community events. All of them are free to attend and need no booking. Come across the everyday life of the town, and its annual occasions, while you are out walking.
None of the events on this page are organised by us. They are run by local shrines, preservation societies, shopping streets and other groups, and this site does not take registrations or bookings for them. Dates and content may change or be cancelled at the organiser’s discretion or because of the weather.

Please contact the organiser directly. For anything about an individual event — start times, what happens in the rain, details on the day — please ask the organiser. We are not able to answer on their behalf. The organiser’s own announcements (official site, social media, notices posted locally) are the primary source for the latest information.
Programs that require booking are listed separately. Shibori workshops, guided tours and anything else that needs advance booking and payment is gathered under Experience Programs. Those differ from the events on this page in both how you apply and who runs them.
