Booking in three steps.

  1. Choose an experience

    Pick something that catches your eye from 4 kinds of program. Dates, times and availability are shown on each program page.

  2. Book and pay online

    Booking and payment are handled by Bókun, an external service. Credit cards accepted. Bookings close at 17:00 three days before. * A confirmation email arrives straight away

  3. Travel to Arimatsu on the Arimatsu Osanpo Kippu

    About 20 minutes by train from Meitetsu Nagoya Station. Your meeting point is given in the confirmation email. Buy the Arimatsu Osanpo Kippu here.

  • Bookings close at 17:00 three days before. After that, please ask at the venue about any remaining places.

  • Indoor programs run as normal. For outdoor programs we decide by 18:00 the day before and let you know by email.

  • Each program states a recommended age. If you are bringing a pre-school child, please contact us first.

  • On the day, bring your Arimatsu Osanpo Kippu and join an eligible experience program. Your host shows you a claim QR code as the experience finishes, and once you claim, 500 yen per person is returned automatically to the payment for the experience.

Opened in 1608 as the Tokaido highway took shape, Arimatsu still keeps the streetscape of the Edo period and the Arimatsu-Narumi shibori culture handed down for four centuries — a story designated a Japan Heritage in 2019.
