About this experience

What you will be doing.

approx. 90 min

The Takeda family have been shibori merchants in Arimatsu for four hundred years. In the storehouse of their residence, try your hand at ikebana. The teachers guiding you are the same ones exhibiting in the ikebana show running alongside, and they take their time with you.

When you have finished, move through to the tea room. In a space with four centuries behind it, breathe out for a moment: matcha in hand, and the history of Arimatsu to think about.
