Chopsticks, marbles, rubber bands, string. Bind the cloth with whatever is to hand, then have it set — and the moment you untie it, a texture that is yours alone appears.

About this experience
What you will be doing.
approx. 60 minA workshop run by Arimatsu Chushin Yamori LLC, where you try kukuri — the binding technique at the heart of Arimatsu Shibori.
Using everyday things — disposable chopsticks, marbles, rubber bands, string — you bind an A4-sized piece of eco bag fabric however you like. We then give it our own shape-memory finish.
The moment you untie it, the cloth has kept what you did to it: spikes, bumps and creases, in a relief no one else will have. Take home an eco bag that feels like nothing else you own.
